The Kayak Journal

Kayak rental delivery puts the kayak at your dock for a flat price that gets cheaper per day the longer you keep it. For two tandems, one delivered day is $120 and a week is $360, with no drive, no roof rack and pickup included. A storefront or tour is the better pick for a single short paddle or a guided trip.

Rent a single kayak ($45/day) if you are paddling alone, a tandem ($60/day) for two people who like to paddle together, a pedal kayak ($100/day single, $200/day tandem) if you want hands-free or have sore shoulders, and a fishing kayak ($60/day) if you plan to fish. All are delivered free to Cape Coral docks.

Yes, reserve ahead for weekends and busy season, though last-minute availability is sometimes possible if you text (605) 760-4448. Use the rental request form or call or text with your kayak choice, dates and delivery address. We bring the kayak to your dock or seawall in Cape Coral or Fort Myers and pick it up when you are done.

Kayak rental in Cape Coral costs $45 a day for a single, $60 for a tandem or fishing kayak, and $100 for a single pedal kayak. Delivery and pickup are free in Cape Coral, and paddles, life vests, a dry bag and a whistle are included. Taxes are in the price. Keep a single 3 to 7 days and it is $120 flat, as low as $17 a day.

We rent two pedal kayaks in Cape Coral: the single Old Town Malibu PDL ($100/day, $350 for 3 to 7 days) and a tandem pedal kayak ($200/day, $400 for 3 to 7 days). Both are delivered free to your dock. A pedal kayak is worth it for distance, fishing and sore shoulders, but not for a quick calm-canal paddle.

A tandem kayak suits couples and a parent paddling with a child. Ours rents for $60 a day, $100 for 2 days or $180 for 3 to 7 days, with free delivery to your Cape Coral dock. Choose two singles if you disagree on pace, or the tandem pedal ($200/day) for distance and sore shoulders.
