Quick answer: Grab N Go Kayaks is a kayak rental delivery company in Cape Coral, Florida, owned by Justin Lammers, creator of the KayakDIY YouTube channel. We deliver kayaks to your waterfront dock, pick them up afterward, and include paddles, life vests, a dry bag and a whistle. Singles start at $45 a day.
If you have searched for a kayak rental in Cape Coral, you have probably seen a lot of company names and not much about the people behind them. Here is who we are.
I grew up in South Dakota. That is why our phone number has a 605 area code. I moved to southwest Florida, bought a waterfront house in Cape Coral, and started doing what I had always done: taking kayaks apart, rigging them, testing them, and putting the results on YouTube. Grab N Go Kayaks grew out of that. This post explains how the two connect, why we only deliver, and what you get when you rent from us.

From South Dakota to a Cape Coral canal
My family and I moved from South Dakota to Cape Coral for a life on the water. A local news profile from WINK News describes the move as a leap, and it was. I bought a waterfront home here, and a lot of my KayakDIY filming happens on the canal behind it.
What I try to bring to a delivery is the same thing I try to bring to a video: plain explanations and no rush. A first-time paddler at the edge of a dock usually needs two calm minutes on how to sit, hold the paddle and get back in more than anything else, so that is part of every drop-off.
Living on a Cape Coral canal is also why this business works. I know what it is like to step into a kayak from your own dock, how the wind comes down a long straight canal in the afternoon, and what the water does at low tide. Our Cape Coral canals guide for kayakers comes from that daily view. When I deliver to a canal home in southwest Cape, I am usually looking at water I have paddled myself.
The KayakDIY channel
KayakDIY is my YouTube channel. It covers kayak reviews, rigging, DIY builds and watersports gear, and it also follows our move from South Dakota to Florida. The channel has more than 130,000 subscribers and more than 80 million views, according to Social Blade data as of October 12, 2026. I am also on TikTok as @kayakdiy_channel.
The channel started small and grew around kayaks, fishing gear and underwater sea scooters. Sport Fishing magazine has called me a top kayak YouTuber and listed my videos on rigging kayaks with Bixpy motors and converting a budget fishing kayak among the most popular DIY kayak videos.
Why does that matter to you as a renter? Because the person who tests and rigs hundreds of kayaks on camera is also the person choosing and setting up the boats you paddle. That is the link between KayakDIY and Grab N Go. If you have watched a video and wondered whether the same person runs the rental company, the answer is yes.

Recognition and clean water
In 2022, Gulfshore Business, a publication covering southwest Florida, honored me on its 40 Under 40 list. WINK News, a Gulfshore Business partner, ran a profile of the honorees that September. I am proud of it, but the people I think about are the customers who book a kayak for their family vacation and send us a photo from the water.
I have also supported clean water efforts in southwest Florida. The water here is why people visit, why anglers fish it, and why a kayak rental business exists at all. The Caloosahatchee River, Matlacha Pass, and the canals all depend on it. If you want to help on your own trip, the simplest thing is to carry out everything you carry in, including bottle caps and fishing line.
Skip the roof rack. Paddle from your own dock.
We deliver to your Cape Coral or Fort Myers dock for free, and pickup is included. Single kayaks are $45 for one day, with paddles, life vests, a dry bag and a whistle.
Why we only deliver
We are a delivery or pick-up business. There is no storefront and no onsite paddling. That was a decision, not a shortcut, and it comes from how people actually use the water in Cape Coral.
- Cape Coral has water everywhere. Many homes and vacation rentals sit on a canal. You do not need to drive anywhere to launch.
- Ramps and parks are busy and restricted. The City of Cape Coral and Lee County asked rental companies to keep operations off park property. We do not deliver to public parks or boat ramps, and Sirenia Vista Park is specifically off limits for deliveries.
- Your time is the cost. Driving to a storefront, signing paperwork, loading a car, and driving back takes hours. We bring the kayak to you. See kayak delivery vs renting at a storefront for the real time and cost comparison.
- Learning is easier at your own dock. Beginners are calmer in a quiet canal than at a busy launch. Our beginner’s guide to renting a kayak in Cape Coral shows how to use that.
We deliver to waterfront homes, Airbnbs, VRBOs, vacation homes with a private dock or seawall, and condos with suitable secure storage. Hotels are case by case. If you want a different launch, you can move the delivered kayak yourself if you have safe transport, such as a roof rack or truck.
How we choose and rig the boats
Years of reviewing kayaks taught me what makes a rental good. Rental boats get used by people of every size and skill level, so I look for stability, seat comfort, and how easily a kayak loads from a dock. I pass over boats that look great in a catalog but tip a nervous paddler.
Here is the fleet and the one-day price, with prices for 2 days and 3 to 7 days on each page. The 3 to 7 day tier is one flat price.
| Kayak | 1 day | 2 days | 3 to 7 days |
|---|---|---|---|
| Single kayak | $45 | $80 | $120 |
| Tandem kayak | $60 | $100 | $180 |
| Fishing kayak | $60 | $100 | $180 |
| Single pedal kayak (Old Town Ocean Kayak Malibu PDL) | $100 | $200 | $350 |
| Tandem pedal kayak | $200 | $300 | $400 |
Prices include taxes, and a cash discount is available. The pedal kayaks are where my rigging background shows most. The Malibu PDL is 12 feet long and 34.5 inches wide, weighs about 105 lb, and has a usable capacity of about 250 lb. It pedals forward and reverse with the PDL Drive, steers with a rudder, and has a removable Element seat and three flush-mount rod holders. Because it frees your hands, it is a favorite for photographers and anglers. Our post on pedal kayaking in Cape Coral compares the two pedal models.
